Iowa Mixtape

Documentary Short, 2010

What does music from the inner city do for a teen in a town with one stoplight? How is minority culture from the big city absorbed and re-expressed in the lives of its American antithesis?
Amongst visual poetry of the small towns, cornfields and rural beauty, “Iowa Mixtape” explores these questions with three Iowans whose lives have been changed by Hip Hop.
